IGHC and CLA select six Teacher Fellows for Spring 2025

The Institute for Global Humanities and Cultures (IGHC) and the Center for the Liberal Arts (CLA) have selected six teachers as Teacher Fellows. The Fellows have been tasked with considering how IHGC may serve teachers and/or how teachers may contribute to IHGC; they will attend IHGC events in Spring 2025, write up their thoughts, and then meet at a luncheon with IGHC and CLA personnel to discuss their experiences and possible next steps.
The selected fellows are:
- Sarah Emmett, Social Studies, Mount Vernon High School, Fairfax
- Teresa Goodin, Monticello High School, Coordinator of Albemarle Co. Schools Early College Program
- Leslie Haces, Spanish, Tomahawk Creek Middle School, Chesterfield
- Abby Huffman, Spanish, Turner Ashby High School, Rockingham
- Michelle Roberts, English, Manor High School, Portsmouth
- Sean Young, English, Henrico High School
